About CHC

We’re a Massachusetts-based company, headquartered on the South Shore. While our roots are local, we proudly serve condo owners and associations throughout the entire state of Massachusetts.

Our office is available during regular business hours for general inquiries and scheduling. For urgent situations, we offer 24/7 emergency service availability, so help is always within reach when you need it most.

Finding a reliable contractor on your own can be time-consuming and stressful. CHC gives you a single, trusted point of contact for all your maintenance and repair needs. We connect you with vetted vendors, handle all the coordination, and provide ongoing support so you spend less time chasing down help and more time enjoying your home.

CHC is a maintenance coordination and referral service. All maintenance and repair work is performed exclusively by independent third-party Service Providers. CHC does not perform, supervise, direct, or control the work, nor does it guarantee the performance or workmanship of any Service Provider.

Absolutely. CHC is especially valuable for owners who don’t live on-site full time. We handle all the coordination on your behalf from scheduling vendors to following up on completed work. You stay informed and in control without having to be there in person.

Requesting Service

Requests can be submitted by phone, through our online portal, or by email. Once we receive your request, our team performs an initial assessment to determine the severity of the issue, whether it can be resolved remotely, and what type of service provider is needed. We then create a work order and coordinate with the appropriate vendor on your behalf.

After your request is received, CHC assesses the issue and creates a detailed work order. We then reach out to an appropriate service provider, coordinate scheduling, and confirm the appointment with you. You’ll receive reminders before the appointment, and we follow up after the work is completed to ensure everything went smoothly.

Emergency situations are those that require immediate attention to prevent further damage or ensure safety such as a burst pipe, heating failure in winter, or a gas-related concern. Once you or an authorized occupant initiates an emergency service request, you authorize CHC to coordinate emergency repairs up to $500 so emergency work is not delayed while additional approval is obtained.

Yes, no job is too small. We’re happy to assist with everyday tasks like replacing a storm door, small interior painting projects, minor repairs, and more. If you’re not sure whether we can help, just reach out and we’ll let you know.

Membership & Billing

Your $24.99 monthly membership provides ongoing access to CHC’s maintenance coordination services, including troubleshooting assistance, vendor coordination, scheduling, and emergency coordination. The membership is for access to these services and is not based on how often you use them. Repair labor, materials, and vendor charges are billed separately.

CHC coordinates maintenance requests, connects Clients with qualified independent Service Providers, and assists with scheduling and communication throughout the repair process.

Once a Service Provider has been selected, the Client and the Service Provider are solely responsible for agreeing upon the scope of work, pricing, scheduling, warranties, and all other terms of the repair. Any contract or agreement for repair services is entered into directly between the Client and the Service Provider.

Service Providers may charge an initial service call, diagnostic, or minimum trip fee, and emergency service requests may be subject to higher minimum charges or after-hours rates. Basic handyman services typically start at $95.00 per hour, although actual pricing varies depending on the Service Provider, the scope of work, and market conditions.

Service Providers may invoice the Client directly, collect payment upon completion of the work, or utilize other mutually agreed-upon payment arrangements.

If the Client fails to pay a Service Provider for services rendered, including authorized service call fees, minimum trip charges, emergency repairs, labor, or materials, CHC may, but is not obligated to, advance payment to the Service Provider to preserve vendor relationships and ensure continuity of service. In such cases, the Client authorizes CHC, in accordance with the Service Agreement and Payment Authorization, to charge the authorized payment method on file for:

  • The full amount paid or advanced to the Service Provider;
  • Any applicable payment processing fees incurred by CHC; and
  • A Vendor Payment Administration Fee of $75.00 per occurrence to cover the administrative costs associated with processing the payment, coordinating with the Service Provider, and managing the collection process.

CHC acts solely as a maintenance coordination and vendor referral service. CHC is not a contractor and is not a party to the service agreement between the Client and the Service Provider. All repair work is performed by independent third-party Service Providers.

No. Your membership provides ongoing access to CHC’s maintenance coordination services and vendor network. Whether you submit one request or several during the year, your membership ensures you have a trusted resource available whenever maintenance needs arise.
